Samurai Cop Defense Academy
Standard Operating Procedures
SCA-SOP Order 05-1
The purpose and objective of all Academy courses is to help Trainees and Recruits become more aware of their surroundings and be better prepared to defend themselves should they be faced with a threatening confrontation that involves their personal safety and well being. Trainees and Recruits who participate in these courses are not taught techniques for the purposes of fighting! They are instead taught how to use the techniques for the purposes of self-defense should the need arise.
Because the foundation of the course material instructed within the Academy is based on the martial arts of Aikido, Judo, Jujitsu and Karate Jutsu, certain guidelines, policies, and procedures must be set in order to help Trainees and Recruits maintain the high level of quality, standards, requirements, and responsibilities that are expected of them while training at the Academy. For this reason, the following SOP Orders have been adopted as guidelines for both Trainees and Recruits to follow while training at the Academy. Trainees and Recruits shall be held responsible for being familiar with, knowing, and following these SOP Orders and may be subject to Disciplinary Action for failure to comply with any SCA-SOP Orders. At any given time while attending the Academy, Trainees and Recruits may also be called upon and should be prepared to explain their knowledge of any SOP during their training at the Academy.
For the purposes of SCA-SOP Orders the following definitions shall apply:
Academy Trainee
Any student in uniform attending the Advanced Academy Course who is a White Belt
Academy Recruit
Any student in uniform attending the Advanced Academy or Black Belt Academy Courses who holds the rank of Blue Belt or higher.
